<p>Stoli, the visionary brand responsible for many &#8220;firsts&#8221; that have shaped the industry &#8212; the first imported Russian vodka to the US, first vodka brand to launch a line of flavored vodkas, the first to introduce luxury vodka &#8212; is now connecting with other mavericks in a campaign that is sure to be both thought- and smile-provoking.</p>
<p>With this premise, the campaign&#8217;s print ads and commercials are humorous and irreverent yet thoughtful and inspirational, challenging the consumer to ponder how they measure up – Are you daring enough?  Are you an original? Are you experiencing and living your life in an authentic, interesting way? Are you someone you&#8217;d want to share a Stoli with?  </p>
<p>In other words (or these exact ones), Would You Have a Drink With You?  Print ads and TV spots broke nationally on May 24 and will run into 2011 featuring multiple celebrities who represent a spirit of originality, people who, like the brand itself, are ground-breakers in their field, passionate and driven to excel.</p>
<p>&#8220;With the launch of this new campaign, Stoli recognizes originality, creativity and passion in a call to action to the consumer,&#8221; said Andrey Skurikhin, partner at SPI Group, brand owner. &#8220;Stoli has a history of venturing into unchartered territory and the new campaign will spotlight real originals, people who take chances without asking for permission. <p>In a fitting move, Stoli&#8217;s first ads highlight Hugh Hefner, a true original. Conceptualized by advertising agency Ogilvy &#038; Mather, commercials were directed by Bryan Buckley and include 30-second and 15-second spots.  Set in the legendary Playboy Mansion, the commercials feature Hefner seated at a bar having a drink with himself via split screen, revealing a few things the average consumer may not necessarily be able to discover via a Wikipedia bio.  </p>

<p>In addition to breaking sexual taboos with the launch of Playboy, Hefner also campaigned for civil rights and free speech and put blacklisted and black American performers on his &#8220;Playboy After Dark&#8221; and &#8220;Playboy&#8217;s Penthouse&#8221; TV shows at a time when such appearances were rare on national TV.  Hefner not only broke the color line in his clubs and TV shows, he also campaigned against censorship.</p>

Since he publicly announced his diagnosis, he has become widely recognized not only for his musical talents, but also for his efforts to inspire people with diabetes and give back to fans that inspire him. </p>
<p>Nick knows how important good diabetes management is and one of the ways he spreads that message is through his partnership with Bayer Diabetes Care.</p>
<p>“One of the things we’ve been so impressed with is how much people with diabetes are doing for their communities,” said Nick. “Bayer and I hope that through this contest we can call attention to them and thank people with diabetes who support and inspire others, whether it be through volunteering or fundraising.”</p>

<p>“I have six sisters and two beautiful daughters—that’s eight women who mean the world to me,” says Huffman. “I support the Entertainment Industry Foundation and Lee National Denim Day because they fund programs that are making huge strides in breast cancer research and support. When everyone donates $5 each, we are able to raise millions in a single day. It’s about coming together to find a solution.” </p>
<p>Huffman, whose character Lynnette Scavo has battled cancer on the show, will appear in a new public service campaign that encourages people to wear their jeans on Friday, October 8, in exchange for a $5 donation to support crucial breast cancer research and support services.  </p>

<p>Money raised through the campaign will help the Women’s Cancer Programs of EIF to fund:<br />
o  Lee Translational Laboratories, a collaboration of six of the nation’s leading research institutions to find less toxic, more effective treatments.</p>
<p>The EIF Breast Biomarker Discovery Project, a multi-year effort led by world-class scientists to develop a blood test for earlier detection of breast cancer when survival rates are the highest.</p>
<p>The Cancer Support Community, an international non-profit dedicated to providing support, education and hope to people affected by cancer in communities nationwide.</p>

<p>Miss Minogue&#8217;s admission that she uses Pond&#8217;s Cold Cream has sent sales of the traditional beauty treatment through the roof.<br />
There has long been speculation over how Miss Minogue, who turns 42 on Friday, has kept her skin looking so youthful.</p>
<p>While she has admitted having Botox injections in the past, she says she now only uses Pond&#8217;s.</p>
<p>The £3.99 cream has been a beauty favourite for many years</p>
<p>The lotion, which has been around for 100 years, sells for £3.99 for a 75ml pot in most high street chemists. </p>
<p>It is based on a cleanser used in Greece almost 2,000 years ago &#8211; an emulsion of water and certain fats.</p>
<p>Miss Minogue has admitted she has started using it every day following the advice of her mother Carol.</p>
<p>&#8216;It&#8217;s really changed my skin,&#8217; she said. &#8216;It&#8217;s all I really use to look after my skin. It&#8217;s such an old classic. &#8216;My mum uses it and it really does work. It&#8217;s made such a difference.&#8217;</p>
<p>Yesterday Pond&#8217;s, which is owned by multi-national company Unilever, said there had been a staggering reaction to Miss Minogue&#8217;s comments. </p>
<p>Sales were up by 120 per cent.</p>
<p>&#8216;We&#8217;re calling it &#8220;the Kylie effect&#8221;, and it has been dramatic, to say the least,&#8217; said a spokesman.  &#8216;It&#8217;s been crazy. Stockists are increasing their orders and we&#8217;ve had to up our product orders pretty dramatically.&#8217; </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Fizz™ is a plastic cup that screws on to a plastic PET bottle (it fits most bottles with a screw thread) allowing you to create a mobile ice cream float &#8211; in other words, you can create your own ice-cream float on-the-go!</p>
<p>Once you screw the cup to a bottle, fill it up with ice cream, then insert a straw, and finally, squeeze the bottle. This fills the cup with soda, allowing you to sip out a mixture of ice cream and soda.</p>
<p>David Chodosh is the inventor of The Fizz™ and founder of Jonzo, Inc., a product design and development company located in Manhattan Beach, Calif. </p>
<p>With more than 18 years of design experience in toys and housewares, David has created new products for Hallmark, Mattel Toys, Hasbro, Burger King, among others. </p>
<p>His designs have been distributed at mass-market stores and quick service restaurants throughout North America, Europe and Japan.</p>
<p>David created The Fizz™ as a way to put a fun new spin on an all-American classic: the root beer float. He sought a way to simplify the process of making a soda float, at the same time making it more fun to drink. </p>
<p>His concept was to devise a “mixing chamber” that would separate the ingredients and allow the float drinker to mix them as desired, and also make it fun visually as the soda mixes with the ice cream to create an eruption of foam. </p>
<p>After many experiments and prototypes, he arrived at design that was both innovative and easy to produce.</p>
<p>The cup is reusable, but not dishwasher safe.</p>

<p>Invented by Harvard Professor David Edwards, in collaboration with students, designers, engineers and entrepreneurs working in Edward&#8217;s Art Science Labs, in Paris.</p>
<p>Le Whif contains hundreds of milligrams of tiny food particles, so when you place Le Whif in your mouth (rather like a cigarette) and breathe in gently, the particles enter your mouth and fall onto your tongue and suddenly you have an experience of flavour.</p>
<p>A quick puff from the patented lipstick-like device starts the unique Le Whif Taste Experience.</p>
<p>Chocolate or Coffee flies through the air from the end of the Le Whif cylinder.</p>
<p>Chocolate or Coffee sprinkles onto your tongue through small holes in the mouthpiece &#8211; never touching your fingers or spilling onto your shirt!</p>
<p>All this and Le Whif packs intense flavour into less than a single calorie.</p>
<p>Le Whif launched in April 2009 with a preliminary design and evolved over the World Tour of Le Whif, a period of 9 months, with sales in over 32 countries, over 40,000 whiffing experiences and two weeks on the beach of the Majestic Hotel at the Cannes Fiilm Festival.</p>
<p>Using particle engineering to form natural food substances into particle sizes that are small enough to become airborne, though too large to enter the lungs &#8211; you have all the flavour (currently: mint-chocolate, raspberry-chocolate, mango-chocolate and plain chocolate) and none of the calories.
