Country music superstar Taylor Swift has become the latest celebrity to endorse a line of Covergirl cosmetics, the firm has announced.
Procter and Gamble Co., the maker of Covergirl, said in a news release that Swift, 20, will represent a new line of luxury cosmetics that will be introduced in January 2011.
Swift, who has sold more than 13 million albums since 2006, said she is “thrilled” to be joining a long line of “Covergirls” that includes Queen Latifah, Ellen DeGeneres, Rihanna and Drew Barrymore.
Covergirl Cosmetics General Manager Vince Hudson praised Swift’s “fresh beauty and authentic style.”
“Through all her success, Taylor remains a grounded and sincere woman who connects with fans everywhere just by being true to who she is,” he said. “She personifies the iconic image of the brand while representing the next generation of both inner and outer beauty.”
