It’s a hard life being a pop star, especially when you get to lounge about on a big sofa in the sun all day.
Which is exactly what girl group The Saturdays got to do today as they got comfy on a big pink couch in London.
And while they made it look as though they were just having a leisurely break from their busy schedule, the girls were actually doing some work.
The pop group – Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy, Vanessa White and Molly King – were launching a new campaign for T-Mobile in Covent Garden.
The girls took to the sofa – which was the size of a double decker bus – to launch the mobile phone company’s Big Sofa Night In.
Dressed identically in black asymmetrical dresses, the girls flashed their best smiles for the cameras as early shoppers looked on in bemusement.
The girls signed autographs for fans before being helped up on to the sofa to strike a few poses next to the humongous cushions.
The Big Sofa Night In campaign is giving T-Mobile customers the chance to star in their very own television advert.
All they need to do is climb on the Big Sofa – which will be making an appearance across the country this month – and invite their friends round to their perfect T-Mobile Night In.
T-Mobile head of brand and communications, Lysa Hardy said: ‘We want as many of our customers as possible to get involved in the ad campaign, and we hope the giant sofa will inspire people to take part for their chance to star in their own advert on primetime TV.
‘And if anyone wants to be involved but can’t make it down to the sofa they can still join in by recording their own clip and uploading it to youtube.com/lifesforsharing.’
Their efforts will be filmed and uploaded onto YouTube, where they’ll be judged by T-Mobile’s casting panel and a few chosen winners will be filmed professionally for T-Mobile’s TV adverts, which will be aired on British TV over the next couple of months.
