This Autumn Winter Wallis launches an exciting new collaboration ‘YLB For Wallis’ with world renowned supermodel Yasmin Le Bon, wife of Duran Duran front man, Simon Le Bon.

This is the first time Yasmin has stepped away from modelling to design her own range of clothing and jewellery and Wallis is delighted to be working with Yasmin for her exclusive debut collection.

Yasmin has been involved in every stage of the project working alongside the Design and Creative teams at Wallis to create ‘a wardrobe I truly want for myself’.

YLB captures the essence of Yasmin, her Persian descent, her iconic style and love of vintage, for a timeless sophisticated collection.

Yasmin says ‘I have so much admiration for what they do at Wallis, I can’t just put my name to something to me that’s completely meaningless, if I’m going to do something I’m going to be involved all the way and it’s been a fantastic learning curve’.

The emphasis is on a long silhouette with high necklines and includes wardrobe staples such as a black pencil skirt and the ultimate skinny black trouser, both in stretch crepe. The leather biker jean with stretch jersey panels goes perfectly with the silk pleat detail tie-neck blouse in black, ivory or dark green. The striking velvet ink tuxedo suit is perfect for a dramatic evening look. Outerwear is Byzantium inspired with a military style wool coat with gold brocade detailing.

Column dresses are a signature style of Yasmin’s and the dramatic burgundy silk floor length design with a sultry cowl back detail and the silk peradot with a tie neck creates an elegant look, teamed with the kid capelet. The printed silk dress is both sexy and demure, with delicate jewels highlighting the floral print. This attention to detail is evident throughout the whole collection creating trans-seasonal clothes women will cherish for years to come.

An eclectic jewellery range takes inspiration from Yasmin’s personal collection of vintage and ethnic keepsakes and trinkets. Antique-look gold beads create long bohemian necklaces which emphasise the silhouette. Statement collar necklaces and decorative bracelets are intricately detailed and adorned with jewels for a glamorous touch. Rich gold knot necklaces are set with turquoise and ruby rhinestones while jewel-encrusted pendants suspended from black velvet ribbon add an additional element of luxury for the winter season.”

Yasmin Le Bon is one of the original ’supermodels’ with a successful career spanning three decades. She has worked with every top photographer from Mario Testino to Peter Lindeberg, as well as appearing on the launch issue covers of American and British Elle magazine and more recently the cover of British Vogue magazine.
